A very promising three year old gelding, whose fate was sealed to enter the Caulfield Guineas after a great fight to win the Badjar Ogilvy- Stutt Stakes over 1600m at the end of September.

He is a real staying type who will probably favour the longer distances, perhaps to 2000m,he has a real kick and although not the most fancied of the youngsters around he has really proved himself with that win which the odds now reflect.

A very nice genuine horse, he could well suprise a few.

This young colt is busy doing everything right, he won the Westspeed Handicap at the beginning of September by over two lengths with jockey William Pike, he then went on to make his Melbourne debut in the Caulfield Guineas Prel seventeen days later where he finished strongly in fifth place.

On The Warpath is trained by Master trainer Fred Kersley who is one of Australia's greatest legends, if any one can produce a leading contender then you probably will have to look no further than this.

A lot is expected of this young gelding and although he may not find the Caufield Guineas quite as easy as his previous runs he is ticking all the right boxes.

He had a very easy win in the Lord Dudley Hanicap over 1400m, winning by four lengths, his closing sectionals were quite something and saw his price for the Cauldfield Guineas reduce dramatically.

Eleven days earlier he had similar success at Sandown where he slayed the field to win by eight lengths.

This is a horse that can step up a gear but still needs a reminder now and again, not fully mature yet he has time to improve and although this race will test he is well worthy of starting favourite.
