The Belgian Grand Prix is the thirteenth round of the 2008 Formula One Championship calendar and is held annually at the famous Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Since motor racing began in Belgium in 1925, the Belgian Grand Prix has been one of the biggest races on the calendar.
For the majority of the Belgian Grand Prix's life, it has been staged at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, however during the 1970's and early 80's the event was alternated between Zolder and Nivelles-Baulers race tracks due to Spa-Francorchamps being considered too dangerous. The race then returned back to the rebuilt Spa-Francorchamps in 1983 where it has remained since.
When betting on the Belgian Grand Prix, remember that Spa-Francorchamps is famous for its unpredictable weather with torrential rain frequent. Most F1 drivers rate Spa as the most challenging tracks in the world due to its fast, hilly and twisty nature. The Belgian Grand Prix is one of the most anticipated events on the calendar.
Its raced over a total of 44 laps over a total distance of 308.176 kilometers. The circuit is 7.004 kilometers in length and Michael Schumacher has won the Belgian Grand more than any other driver with six victories.
