The Chinese Grand Prix is part of the Formula One Championship and is featured annually towards the end of October. It has only been on the Formula One calendar since 2004, however it had been in the planning stages since the early 1990's.
The Chinese Grand Prix is staged at the Shanghai International Circuit and was designed by Hermann Tilke - the German architect famous for designing some of the best tracks in the world. The Shanghai International Circuit is infact the most expensive Formula One circuit facility in the world costing in excess of $240 Million.
