The Queensland Raceway is a V8 supercar race held each year and is Round 7 of the 2008 V8 Supercars Championship. The event is held at Queensland Raceway in Ipswich, which is nicknamed 'The Paperclip' due to the circuits resemblance of a paperclip.
The Queensland Raceway track is 3.12 kilometres in distance with a total of eight turns, and is raced in a clockwise direction. Spectator viewing at the track is excellent as the flat layout of the circuit and spectator mounds allow people to see the entire track. The drivers often find the Queensland Raceway round far less exciting than other rounds as due to the flat layout of the track, plus the surface is very bumpy.
