About the Phantom Brownlow Medal

This will be our fourth edition of the Phantom Brownlow Medal and in our first three attempts we have twice picked the winner, missing out only on Chris Judd in 2010. Given he was an outsider at $25 it was a bit of an upset.

By analysing every match of the season, we believe come Brownlow Medal night we’ll have the best data available to help you select your bets. Given now you can bet on Club Leaders and Top 3 Pollers etc, this will be an extremely useful tool.

2011 Edition of the Count

The 2011 edition of the count has been totally revamped. Rather than the old 3-2-1 vote system we used to adopt, we now give players a vote ranger based on performance. So if they are a lock in for three votes they will receive 3 votes, if they played well but others are in the mix, they’ll get 2-3 votes, if they played well but not well enough for 3 votes, they’ll get 1-2 votes, and so forth.

We believe this will provide us with a more accurate count, plus by giving us a range of votes a player could poll, you will get more of an idea of how well they went. All the new changes have been explained at our site Phantom Brownlow Medal so click the link and head on over there.

Run your own Phantom Brownlow

Perhaps the biggest new change to this year’s edition is the fact you can run your very own Phantom Brownlow count yourself. All you need to do is register at our site Phantom Brownlow Medal and log in, it is free.

Then you can go through each game and give players votes accordingly. We provide you with player stats and bios and their history in recent Brownlow Medal counts. It really is the ultimate Brownlow Medal resource!
